The commercial question

How should a marketplace’s commercial model and customer experience support one another?

One Wardrobe connects people who own designer fashion with people who want to rent it. GRPL worked with Brittany to think through the commercial structure and its relationship to the user experience. The conversation moved across the business model, the platform and the choices that shape the experience on both sides of the marketplace.

GRPL’s contribution

Connect the thinking.
Carry it into the work.

01

Read the whole business

Look at the marketplace as a connected commercial system, bringing the model, operating structure and customer experience into the same discussion.

02

Connect the economics and the experience

Consider how commercial choices show up for renters and lenders. Use that relationship to assess what helps the platform create value for everyone involved.

03

Make the choices clearer

Help the founder think through where to focus attention, how to assess trade-offs and which platform decisions should serve the wider business direction.

What the work put in place

Commercial and user experience advice considered together, giving the founder a more connected basis for decisions about the marketplace. The engagement demonstrates GRPL’s role in working across business questions and customer experience before jumping to a creative or technology solution.

The next decision

Let’s get into it.
